This work is the result of research and process record of historical research project of the Indian community in Yogyakarta. Research project which lasted for 2 months aims to explore the history of the Indian community in Yogyakarta, through collaborative research and artistic experimentation. The project was initiated by the KUNCI Cultural Studies Center and is part of the Parallel Events Biennale Jogja XI.
Research the history of the Indian community in Yogyakarta is the first step in the writing of history relating to ethnic minorities in Indonesia, especially people of Indian descent. The results of this research is still open for further development, both in the context of the city of Yogyakarta, as well as a broader scope, namely Indonesia.
